1. [Grad] school is cool
Students and alumni are invited to attend the Grad School Fair on Monday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the GC Ballrooms (MMC). Representatives from more than 70 schools will be on hand with information about master’s, doctoral and professional programs.

2. Women on the mind
Gloria Steinem, renowned writer, lecturer and activist, leads a discussion on the future of women’s rights in the United States. This event, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 in the MARC Pavilion, is free and open to the public (RSVP).

3. Getting digital
Social media can be an effective tool for the 21st century leader. Find out how you can make better use of your online presence at the ENGAGE workshop on Oct. 25 at 12:30 p.m. in WUC 221 (BBC).

4. Wham, bam, pow
The young patients of Miami Children’s Hospital fight off villains, such as cancer, in the Super Health Heroes Comic Coloring Book. Drawings from the project are on exhibit at FIU’s Miami Beach Urban Studios until Nov. 1, with a reception on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.

5. Hoop! There it is
Get a peek at your 2012-13 men’s basketball team on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m. Come to the U.S. Century Bank Arena to meet the team, hear from Coach Pitino and watch the team in action. The event is free (RSVP).
