Biotech exec Neil Flanzraich named chair of the Wolfsonian-FIU advisory board

The Wolfsonian-FIU recently appointed businessman and biotech executive Neil Flanzraich as the museum’s new advisory board chair.

Flanzraich – who is also the executive chairman of the Kirax Corporation and ParinGenix, Inc., as well as member of the board of directors of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., Equity One, Inc., and the MDW Insurance Group – succeeds attorney Michael Kreitzer. His two-year term began Sept. 7.

In his new position with the Wolfsonian-FIU, Flanzraich will aim to increase overall access to the museum.

“We want people to see more of the collection,” he says. “This is not just another art museum. An institution like The Wolfsonian-FIU can have a major impact on people and the community by stimulating thinking and conversation around the ideas and themes expressed through [our] amazing collection of thought-provoking objects that are meaningful on so many levels.

“Enhancing access to this singular collection is a priority, from growing visitor attendance to expanding exhibition space to increasing online and other digital opportunities for interacting with the museum.”

By doing this, Flanzraich hopes to reach new audiences and ultimately position The Wolfsonian-FIU as an important supporter of the culture in both Miami and the global community.
