Bill & G at MMC

More than 700 students and members of the community turned out Oct. 30, to hear Giuliana and Bill Rancic speak about their battle against Giuliana’s breast cancer and their struggle with infertility. The couple was invited to FIU as part of the Student Programming Council’s Lecture Series, and their visit coincided with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Dr. John Rock, founding dean of the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM), and Dr. Carolyn Runowicz, associate dean for Women’s Affairs at HWCOM, attended the event and discussed ways the university  might partner with the dynamic duo moving forward.
