Creative Writing faculty to appear at Miami Book Fair International


Faculty from the Creative Writing Program are participating in the 2012 Miami Book Fair International this weekend. Lynne Barrett will discuss her award winning short-story collection Magpies at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, as part of the Literary Crimes discussion group and at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Florida Book Award Winners 2012 group.

Debra Dean will discuss her latest novel The Mirrored World at noon Sunday, Nov. 18.

John Dufresne is the author of the novels Louisiana Power & LightLove Warps the Mind a LittleDeep in the Shade of Paradise and, most recently, Requiem, Mass.

Denise Duhamel is the author, most recently, of the poetry collection Ka-Ching!Two and TwoMille et un Sentiments and Queen for a Day: Selected and New Poems.

Campbell McGrath will read from his latest poetry collection In the Kingdom of the Sea Monkeys: Poems at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

Les Standiford will discuss his latest book Desperate Sons: Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, and the Secret Bands of Radicals Who Led the Colonies to War at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.
