Behavior analyst to speak about the consequences of behavior

Behavior analyst Susan M. Schneider will be giving a lecture about consequences at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 in room 523 of the Steven and Dorothea Green Library on FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

Hosted by the Psychology Academy and FIU’s Behavior Analysis Program, Schneider’s talk is a prelude to the official launch of her first book, The Science of Consequences:  How They Affect Genes, Change the Brain, and Impact Our World, at the Miami Book Fair International.

“I feel fortunate to be launching the book in Miami,” Schneider said. “The book has something for everyone, because everyone is influenced by consequences.”

Schneider’s lecture at FIU is designed for individuals interested in behavioral science as well as professionals with prior knowledge of the science. One continuing education credit will be available for board certified behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts for a fee of $15. The general public can attend at no cost.
