FIU hosts Engineering Expo


WHAT: More than 1,700 elementary, middle and high school students from Miami-Dade and Broward counties will gather at Florida International University’s Engineering Center for the 12th Annual FIU Engineering Expo, an interactive, multi-faceted program featuring hands-on demonstrations, contests, research lab tours and other events designed to stimulate interest in engineering and science careers and enhance students’ professional and interpersonal skills.

WHO: This year’s guest speaker is Pastor Lopez, vice president and general manger of AAR Landing Gear Services, a division of AAR Corporation. Other speakers include FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg and College of Engineering & Computing Dean Amir Mirmiran.

WHERE: FIU Engineering Center, 10555 West Flagler Street in Miami.

WHEN: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
