FIU College of Education hosts 12th Annual South Florida Education Research Conference


FIU’s College of Education hosts the 12th Annual South Florida Education Research Conference, which brings together education deans and researchers from institutions of higher learning from South Florida to explore issues on teaching and learning, mentoring, and learner development. The conference serves as a forum for presentation of education research done at the colleges and universities.

The conference will take place on FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus at the Kovens Conference Center, 3000 N.E. 151st Street, Miami, FL

Conference Highlights:

  • 9:40 a.m.– 10:15 a.m., Room 117: Higher education opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities (focus on transition programs like Panther LIFE)
  • 10:35 – 11:20 a.m., Room 122: The role of social and informal learning in higher education
  • 11:30 – 1:15 p.m., at the Bayview Ballroom/Room 214: Lunch panel discussion- What can South Florida Colleges of Education do to improve K-12 education?
  • 1:25  – 2:10 p.m., Bayview Ballroom/Room 214: The future of online learning
