Celebrating 3rd annual black alumni reunion Sept. 13

The FIU Alumni Association along with the FIU Black Alumni Chapter will be hosting the 3^rd Annual Black Alumni Reunion on Friday, Sept. 13.

Alumni are invited to the Koven’s Conference Center at Biscayne Bay Campus from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will be treated to hors d‘oeuvres and, for those of age, a complimentary drink.

The aim of the event is to bring together different generations of FIU black alumni and provide an opportunity for them to create new contacts, as well as reminisce about what made their years at FIU great.

In preparation for the reunion, the Alumni Association is inviting those who are planning to attend to take a few minutes and record a short video describing what FIU means to them. Submissions can be uploaded at FIUalumni.com/blackalumni.

Alumni are also invited to attend the FIU vs. Bethune Cookman football game the following day.  The reunion planning committee has a special tailgate party in the works and will be providing more information as game day gets closer.
