FIU College of Business’ Latin American Forum now working with Latin American Caribbean Center

Florida International University (FIU) College of Business’ Latin American Forum, a business development and networking group that brings multinational business leaders to FIU, will be working with the Latin American Caribbean Center (LACC), effective September 1, 2013.

“I am pleased that the Latin American Forum will become part of a dynamic center that brings vital research and scholarship to so many constituencies,” said David R. Klock, dean of the College of Business where the forum has been housed for the last few years. “This is an excellent opportunity to bring our private sector partners greater access to the outstanding research and new directions charted by our new LACC Director Frank Mora and his team.”

The Latin American Forum unites chief executive officers for Latin America from major U.S. and European multinational corporations in a highly active forum designed to promote next steps in global development. In meetings throughout the year, high-level executives come together to gain new expertise, exchange ideas, and enable new engagement in business in the Latin American marketplace.

Through its geographically strategic position in Miami, LACC connects scholarship and innovation across the Americas to help find practical solutions to interdisciplinary problems in the region.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with the Latin American Forum, a group that will significantly advance our understanding of our region’s dynamic economy,” said Mora. “We are grateful to Dean Klock and the College of Business for the opportunity to bring this partnership to fruition, and we look forward to further collaboration.”
