Summer Sojourns 2013

All summer at FIU News, we heard great stories about Panthers doing some amazing work. They spent the lazy days of summer in the lab, at the Capitol or offering recommendations for equal opportunity in the workplace to an international audience. You can read more about their adventures in our Summer Sojourns 2013 series.

In Bahrain, Ph.D. candidate Shahed Al-Tammar presented recommendations on how to counteract the current obstacles women face, including recommendations for equal opportunity in the workplace and increased political representation.
