Walk on Water Nov. 7

In an annual rite of passage that began more than 20 years ago, Professor Jaime Canaves’ architecture students spent the semester creating shoes that allow them to walk on water. On Nov. 7, on the lake behind the Green Library at Modesto A. Maidique Campus, the students will test out their design.

The class assignment is also an annual competition. The student who crosses the 175-foot lake the fastest will take home an “A”, $500 and bragging rights.

The fun starts at 11:30 a.m. All students, faculty and staff are invited.
