FIU in collaboration with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) will offer a life coach training program beginning summer 2015.

The seven month-long program will be offered through FIU’s University College at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. Specialty disciplines within the program include life, professional and business coaching. The program will begin with Module I on July 17-19 2015, Module II on October 16-18 2015, and Module III on January 15-17 2016.

“We are extremely excited to bring this partnership to FIU,” said Joyce J. Elam, dean of University College at Florida International University. “I began to see the immediate impact that coaching has when we made it a part of our Executive MBA program. Coaching truly supports professionals and executives who want to improve all aspects of their lives and lead their careers meaningfully and successfully. Now we can offer it to all professionals in our community together with one of the top coaching certification programs in the country.”

Graduates of iPEC’s program have transitioned into a myriad of successful careers spanning coaching inside of corporate organizations, healthcare practices, and small businesses, as well as flexing their entrepreneurial muscles in their own niche practices. Guided by the principles of its COR.E Dynamics™ methodology and founded on over 30 years of scientific research, iPEC’s overall program is committed to driving human performance and potential in tandem with creating sustainable change in people’s lives and careers, while helping budding students develop effective executive leadership and life coaching skills.

“Florida International University is home to a diverse student body and is laser focused on learning, innovation, and collaboration,” said Luke Iorio, President & CEO, iPEC. “We’re excited that these shared values, combined with our company’s mission, will help develop the bright leaders of tomorrow – those who are passionate, inspired, and motivated to raise the consciousness and potential of themselves and those around them. Our inside-out approach to coaching is specifically designed to hone students’ self-awareness, communication and interpersonal abilities, and leadership skills, so they too, can make an exponential impact on the world-at-large.”
