We turned 50 yesterday and we have the social media to prove it

The day started like any other except for one small fact. On this day, June 22, exactly 50 years ago, your FIU was created through the signing of Senate Bill 711. Twitter erupted with retweets and best wishes from our students, friends and supporters (see below). To all of you we say, thanks for making us feel special and for celebrating with us. We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together in the next 50 years!
