TEDxFIU: Why short cuts lead to dead ends

Spoken word artist and FIU alumnus Christopher James ‘15 has been using writing as his creative outlet for years. But he never showed anyone his writing until he was introduced to spoken word in college, and from day one, his performances were raw and passionate, captivating each audience.

James has performed and competed at events and universities around the state. Now a high school English teacher, he hopes to help kids find their own outlets for self-expression.

In this TEDxFIU performance last November, he tackled the topic of why short cuts lead to dead ends.
