2018 CONFERENCE USA CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET

FIU opens the 2018 Conference USA Championship by taking on Florida Atlantic at 10 a.m. EDT on Wednesday from MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The Panthers split two games against the Owls earlier this season May 4-5 in Miami. FIU dropped the series opener 11-4, before winning the next night, 8-5. FAU leads the all-time series 63-49.

FIU enters the league tournament as the No. 6 seed. FAU is the No. 3 seed.

Also in FIU's bracket are Louisiana Tech and Rice. LA Tech is the No. 2 seed. Rice is the No. 7 seed. The Bulldogs and the Rice Owls follow the FIU/FAU game at 1:30 p.m. EDT.

Should FIU win Wednesday, the Panthers play against the winner of LA Tech and Rice on Thursday at 5 p.m. EDT. If the Panthers drop the opener, they play an elimination game against the loser of LA Tech and Rice on Thursday at 10 a.m. EDT.

In the other bracket, No. 1 seed Southern Miss plays No. 8 UAB at 5 p.m. EDT. No. 4 Charlotte takes on No. 5 UTSA at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

All eight teams play on Wednesday.

The C-USA Championship features the top eight teams in regular season league play.  The format is two double-elimination brackets with four teams each, with the winners of each bracket meeting in a single-elimination championship game on Sunday, May 27.  Rice is the defending champion.

All games are available on ESPN3 until the championship game, which will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network.
