Homecoming is here!


President Rosenberg sent the following message to FIU students: 

It is time to once again Unleash the Spirit. Homecoming Week begins this weekend!

Please join us for an exciting week of rallies, concerts, parades and so much more from Saturday, Oct. 6 to Saturday, Oct. 13.

Our Homecoming Committee has been working hard to put together an exciting lineup of events! Here are just a few of the events you have to look forward to:

  • Panthermonium
    In the biggest campus concert of the year, Miguel and Rich the Kid will take over the Panthermonium concert on Saturday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. at FIU’s Ocean Bank Convocation Center. Student tickets are on sale for $10, and can be purchased at the OneCard office. General admission is $25 online, and can be purchased at go.fiu.edu/hctickets. All tickets – regardless of student or general admission – will be $35 at the door.
  • Dancing the Bay Away
    Join us at BBC’s Panther Plaza on Monday, October 8 from noon to 3 p.m. for BBC’s first event during Homecoming Week where students will kick off a week of celebration. This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.
  • The Crown: Court Pageant
    Watch some of your fellow Panthers be tested on their FIU knowledge and display their talents as they compete for this year’s Homecoming court. The pageant is on Monday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the GC Ballrooms. This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.
  • Caribbean Bash
    Take a trip to the Caribbean without leaving campus! Experience all that Caribbean culture has to offer such as food, music and dancing on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. in the WUC Ballrooms. This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.
  • Trail of the Torch
    Join the FIU Student Ambassadors for the lighting of the torch of hope, knowledge and opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in front of Vicky Café. There will be food, entertainment, giveaways and a special concert. This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.
  • Panthers Got Talent
    Our FIU family will take center stage at this year’s Panthers Got Talent show on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at FIU’s Ocean Bank Convocation Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.
  • The Uncaging: Panthers on the Lawn
    Meet us on the GC lawn on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 5 – 8 p.m. for our newest homecoming event! This carnival-like event is family-friendly and will feature food, activities, music and fireworks. Oh, and your faculty/staff king and queen will be crowned! This event is open to all; no tickets required – just your FIU OneCard.

Then on the big day, Saturday, Oct. 13, get ready to welcome Panthers back home with a slew of events:

  • Homecoming Parade
    Celebrate with us by showing your Panther spirit in the biggest way possible. Cheer on your FIU football team starting at 3:30 p.m. Come out to watch the decorative floats, spirit cars, and cheer on your FIU Football team. If you wish to participate in the parade please click here.
  • Tailgating
    Tailgating is an essential part of Homecoming! For guidelines, a campus tailgating map or to register your group, please click here.
  • Homecoming Game
    The moment we’ve been waiting for all week! Let’s rattle the cage at 7:30 p.m. as our Panthers take on Middle Tennessee. Students enter for free using their FIU OneCard.
