Doing our part
The devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010 also struck the heart of the FIU community.
We share the immense grief caused by the suffering of our neighbors in Haiti and their families and friends here in Miami. As a result, our university community mobilized. This site summarizes developments in FIU’s long-term commitment to Haiti’s recovery.

The 2011 TAG Project is dedicating itself to donating 500 pairs of shoes to children ages 1-17 currently residing in three orphanages in Haiti. Help us raise funds to purchase sneakers, art supplies, cover shipping costs or support other Haiti related activities.
