N.Y. Times touts TerraFly

MIAMI, Fla. (August 1, 2002) -- The Aug. 1 edition of The New York Times includes a story on TerraFly, the Internet-based software developed by the FIU High Performance Database Research Center that makes it possible for users to "fly over" vast land areas using a web browser.

This is the second time in recent days that TerraFly has received national attention. The website was featured as the "pick of the week" by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
