MIAMI, Fla. (Aug.
19, 2002) – Top government officials, senior
reporting/editorial staff from The Miami Herald, international
relations experts and others will be featured in a major panel
discussion on the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 and their aftermath
on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.
“9/11 One Year Later: Miami, the Nation and the World”
is being co-sponsored by Florida International University, The
Miami Herald and WLRN-FM/WLRN-17. The three-hour morning event,
which is set to begin at 9 a.m., is expected to draw business
and civic leaders from the Greater Miami area, as well as academics
from FIU and other higher education institutions.
