The Miami Film Festival is proud to
present " RAW DEAL: A QUESTION OF CONSENT
" in a special free screening for students, faculty
and staff of Florida
International University on Wed., Jan. 30,
3:30 p.m. in Room 140 of the
Graham Center. A valid FIU i.d. will be required for admission.
Directed by Billy Corben, this
film debuted to critical acclaim at last
year's Sundance Film Festival and has already sold out two Miami
Film
Festival screenings this year. Not for the squeamish, this documentary
centers around actual footage of an alleged rape and the evening
that
preceded it at a University of Florida fraternity house. It forces
audiences
to decide where the line is between sex and rape. (WARNING: This
film
contains actual footage of graphic sexual violence. May not be
suitable for
all audiences.)
Those FIU faculty, staff and
students unable to attend this screening may
also see RAW DEAL in a special encore screening at the Festival,
Thurs.,
5:30 p.m., at the Colony Theater on
South Miami Beach's Lincoln Road.
