The College of Engineering at
Florida International University announces the inception of a
new graduate program beginning this
fall. The Master of Science in Technology Management
(Information Technology Specialization) is available at our recently inaugurated
Pines Center facility at the Academic Village in Pembroke Pines.
It is designed for individuals who wish to pursue an accelerated
graduate degree that combines both the Information Technology
and Business disciplines. The MSTM degree is part of the College
of Engineering’s Executive Engineering Education program.
Applicants without an engineering/technology degree at
the undergraduate level are also eligible to apply for admission
to this program.
About
the MSTM Program:
The MSTM program focuses on preparing
students for Information Technology jobs in a variety of industries
that include:
- consulting organizations that develop decision models based
on database management and date analysis; that develop and
implement customized software; and that support information
based systems for client organizations;
- IT industries that develop generic software and hardware;
- E-technology/engineering and E-business especially with respect
to supply chain systems analysis;
- Service/Manufacturing organizations that rely heavily on
information technology in managing their business operations.

- Classes begin on October 18th and will take place on Saturdays
only.
- The program consists of 12 courses that will be offered in
six sets of two courses each.
- Each set of courses will be completed in two months and the
entire program will be completed in 12 months.
