Scouting Report: The No. 14 ranked Florida International men’s soccer team will face the No. 15 ranked and No. 16 seed Cal State Northridge Matadors in the NCAA Tournament second round on Wednesday, Nov. 26. As one of the tournament’s top-16 seeds, Cal State Northridge received a first-round bye. The Golden Panthers advanced to the second round by defeating Central Florida, 3-1, Friday night. ..The two teams share a pair of common opponents -- San Francisco and Cal State Fullerton...Both teams defeated San Francisco (FIU 5-1 and CSUN 3-2); meanwhile, FIU posted a 2-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 26, the Matadors split in their two meetings, dropping a 2-1 OT decision on Oct. 29 and winning on Nov. 15, 2-0.This is the first meeting between FIU and CSUN. . .
