FIU Law School Panel to discuss diversity in America


WHAT: In celebration and recognition of Black History Month, the Black Law Student Association will host a panel discussion entitled “My President is Black, So What!” Topics will include the future of affirmative action, the role of women in politics, education in America and whether Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream has been realized. 

WHO: The panel will consist of Andre Smith, FIU professor of law; Carlton Waterhouse, FIU professor of law; Jose Gabilondo, FIU associate dean and professor of law; Alex Lichtenstein, FIU professor of history; Marlon Hill, an attorney at Delancy Hill P.A.; and Michele Samaroo, president of the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. Bar Association.

WHEN: Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
