FIU Dance says goodbye with “Perpetual Motions”


Celebrate the farewell faculty dance performance at FIU with the joined forces of the graduating class of 2009.  “Perpetual Motions” will be showing April 16—19 in University Park’s Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center, Main Stage. Performances are Thursday-Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. 

The performance will feature mixed uses of exciting new dance styles including Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Peruvian, physical theatre, ballet contemporary, hip hop, contemporary modern and modern dreamscape. There will also be live music and singing, as well as an audio-visual, multi-media presentation during the performance. 

The performance will showcase the electrifying choreography by faculty members Augusto Soledade, Joanne Barret and Paul Vittali as well as pieces by seniors Priscilla Marrero, Amanda De La Nuez, Marcela Diaz and Carlota Praders.
