It’s turning out to be a good season for FIU volleyball, not to mention one of the team’s MVPs, senior Yarimar Rosa.

On Oct. 12, the Panther was named SBC Volleyball Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, as determined by a vote of the league’s 13 head coaches.

The student-athlete has received the honor a conference-record 12 times. She also was recognized by The College Volleyball Update as a Top Performer for the week ending Oct. 11.

In addition, the Ratings Percentage Index numbers show FIU climbing to a program-high No. 18 out of 330 SBC teams. The closest competitor in the university’s conference is Middle Tennessee at No. 47.
