Nominate a graduate for a Torch Award

Each year, FIU’s Alumni Association honors a group of its best and brightest alumni and one professor in the annual Torch Awards Gala. The nomination period for the 2010 Torch Awards will be open until Nov.  25.

The Graham Center Ballroom is transformed for the annual Torch Awards Gala.

Friends and family are invited to nominate an outstanding graduate or faculty member for this prestigious award in three categories:

Charles E. Perry Young Alumni Visionary Award

Community Leadership Award

Outstanding Faculty Award

Alumni are also invited to reserve seats now for the March 6, 2010 gala, the social event of the season. The 2009 gala drew more than 400 alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university. The black-tie evening is sponsored by Wachovia and includes dinner, dancing and an awards ceremony. Proceeds from the event support scholarships for FIU students.
