The men and women constructing FIU’s new School of International & Public Affairs building at Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC) put in a full day Saturday, Jan. 16. A member of the news.fiu.edu team happened by the weekend construction and took some video clips. The $40 million classroom and administrative complex is scheduled to open November 2010. The completed structure will boast the largest auditorium on campus (480 seats), a 10,000-square-foot green roof (currently the largest in South Florida) and a proposed Silver LEED certification.
