Senator LeMieux to deliver remarks on U.S. / Latin America relations

WHAT:  U.S. Senator George LeMieux will address students, professors, and members of the international trade community on the direction of U.S. foreign policy toward Latin America. The senator will discuss the importance of promoting economic and political freedom throughout the Western Hemisphere and highlight Florida’s unique perspective as the “Gateway to the Americas.” Following his speech, Senator LeMieux will be available for questions from members of the news media.

WHO: Sen. LeMieux studied law at Georgetown University graduating with honors and then went on to serve as Florida’s Deputy Attorney General and Chief of Staff to the Attorney General’s Office in 2003.  In 2009, he was sworn in to the U.S. Senate.  He and wife Meike reside in Tallahassee with their sons Max, Taylor and Chase.
