Panther Points: Support FIU Athletics, win prizes

The FIU Athletic Department has unveiled its new Panther Points program presented by Brickell Motors for the 2010-2011 season.

Students will have a chance to win prizes by building up points earned when attending FIU Athletic events throughout the year.

Beginning with the FIU women’s soccer team’s home opener versus Delaware State (August 27), points will be assigned to select sporting events throughout the year.

Panther Points are designed to reward FIU students for their support of FIU Athletics. At each sporting event, students will have their Panther ID card scanned at the Panther Points tent, and a set number of points will automatically be updated into a computer system. Points will vary from game to game depending on the profile of the game. Without warning, students will be awarded double points at select contests. Points that students acquire over the year will accumulate and the students with the most points (top 100) will be eligible to win prizes at our end of the semester and end of the year raffles. The more games students attend, the more points a student earns; the better chance he or she has to win.

Students have the chance to win 40” 1080 HD TVs, Toshiba laptops, iPODs, Flipcams, and much more.
