FIU community works to build a sustainable future

Students, faculty and staff had fun, learned a thing or two, and broke a sweat in honor of Earth Week 2011.

Led by the formal launch of FIU’s Office of University Sustainability, the university community did its part to bring awareness to environmental and sustainability initiatives during Earth Week 2011, April 4-9. Environmental clean-ups, yoga and a movie, kayaking and jewelry making were just a few of the dozens of activities students, faculty and staff participated in.

FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus has organized an entire month of events, including several activities that will take place between now and April 30.
