Faculty member gets firsthand look at the beauty, challenges defining Africa today


Exciting. Spectacular. Eye-opening. Well-planned. Intense.

These are just some of the words that Joel Barber, associate professor in the Department of Finance and Real Estate in FIU’s College of Business Administration, used to describe his recent trip to Africa.

He joined 16 other professors on the Fifth Annual Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) Africa Program for a two-week-tour of Kenya and Tanzania.
