The CEE department is an important contributor to the education of civil engineers who are committed to providing a safer and better way of life. As far as how FIU is Worlds Ahead I think it’s the diversity of the university’s population, its strong research advantage (working with the professional community), the heritage of the link between our FIU student organizations and the professional world, and our commitment to providing accredited courses at the hands of established professionals. Those are just a few of the characteristics that work together in owning the prestigious rank of being Worlds Ahead.

I was asked about my immediate family and I responded about my mother, father and sibling. There is a very special family member who have invested more than any other person in my life. For over six years my dad’s cousin whom I affectionately call Aunt Hazel and Auntie, has been my angel on earth, my home away from home and a role model. I love you Auntie. May God always bless you. <3
