FIU professor named to ‘HispanicBusiness’ magazine’s 100 Most Influential list

Rosanna M. Fiske, a seasoned public relations professional and faculty member at FIU School of Journalism and Mass Communication, has been named by HispanicBusiness magazine’s latest edition as one of the 100 most influential Hispanic business executives.

Fiske, who currently serves as chair and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), is among 30 Hispanic executives selected in the Corporate Influential category. HispanicBusiness is the premier business publication dedicated to informing and representing the most highly educated, affluent, and influential segment of the Hispanic market.

“I am honored to be selected by HispanicBusiness magazine as one of the leading Hispanic business leaders,” Fiske said. “As a Hispanic faculty member in the leading communications program for Hispanic students, it is especially rewarding to be part of such a distinguished group of diverse executives and academics.”

The magazine chose Hispanics who have had recent and national impact and whose achievements inspire other Hispanics to similar endeavors.

Among her many milestones, Fiske was the first Hispanic woman president of the Miami chapter of PRSA, one of the largest in the nation. She has received a number of industry and academic awards, including the 2010 Public Relations Professional of the Year PRemio Award by the Hispanic Public Relations Association for her many years of service to advance the profession as well as her community. During her tenure at FIU as associate professor and graduate program director, Fiske has been instrumental in helping shape the school’s Global Strategic Communications program into the largest graduate communications program in Florida.
