Office of Study Abroad exhibits student art in Graham Center


The FIU Student Government Association and the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office celebrated International Education Week 2011 with art exhibits, lectures, information fairs, brown bag lunches and film showings at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. Events at the Biscayne Bay Campus included the International Hospitality Games presented by the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, followed by an international cooking demonstration.

The ISSS, Office of Study Abroad and Miami-Florida European Union Center of Excellence hosted the opening reception Nov. 14 featuring art works from students that have studied abroad in France and China. The art works will be on display in the Graham Center Gallery until Dec. 2.

International Education Week is a national initiative by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to highlight the importance of international education and cultural education.
