Get your tickets: FIU Panthers vs. Miami Marlins March 7

Get a sneak peek of the new Marlins Park and support FIU baseball. The Panthers will face off against the Miami Marlins in an exhibition game Wednesday, March 7.

The new Marlins ballpark is on the site of the old Orange Bowl.

The game will be held at the new ballpark (1390 N.W. 7th St.) at 7:10 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and get you admission to the Marlins game as well as admission to an FIU baseball home game of your choice when you show your Marlins game ticket. Parking inside the Marlins Park garage is $5.

To celebrate the match-up, March 7 will be a Panther Pride Day. Wear your FIU colors and gear during the day. Then, wear your Panther blue to the Marlins Park for the big game. Let’s pack the ballpark and cheer our Panthers to victory!

The 2012 FIU baseball season

Panthers open their season on the road Feb. 17 against Rice University.

“We’re real excited about our 2012 schedule,” says Head Coach Turtle Thomas. “We’re playing some excellent out-of-conference games against the likes of Rice, Florida State and Tennessee to go along with our already challenging Sun Belt schedule.”

The team will kick off its home slate with a three-game set against the Brown Bears starting March 2.
