Former President Bill Clinton to speak at FIU Tuesday, Sept. 11

Former President Bill Clinton will speak at FIU on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. The event, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., at the U.S. Century Bank Arena on the Modesto Maidique Campus, is being organized by the Obama for America campaign. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

The general public may obtain tickets from the Obama for America campaign directly at the Organizing for America Hialeah Field Office, 419 W. 49th St., Suite 105, Hialeah, or Organizing for America Pinecrest Office, 11315 S. Dixie Highway, Pinecrest.

Classes scheduled in the arena on Tuesday will be rescheduled to rooms outside the arena. Faculty and staff so affected will receive an email by Monday afternoon providing the location of their rescheduled classes.

Parking for this event will be in the Panther Garage. As a result, the garage will not be available for parking for the university community on Tuesday. As an alternative, you can park in Tamiami Park, where shuttle service will be provided to the PC loading area, as well as to the Panther Garage area. This shuttle service will be available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
