Pianist Svetozar Ivanov performs at the Wertheim Concert Hall Sept. 29

Svetozar Ivanov, associate professor of piano at University of South Florida, kicks-off the FIU Keyboard Arts Series with a performance of his multimedia piano recital based on Jean Cocteau’s 1930 film titled, “Le sang d’un poet” (Blood of A Poet).

Ivanov is recognized for his creative work in designing unusual concert formats combining music with other art forms (documentary footage, art films, animation, poetry, short stories, live dance improvisation, paintings, lighting design). An art form in themselves, these evocative programs suggest one complete aesthetic idea that develops throughout the program.

The concert takes place Saturday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wertheim Concert Hall at Modesto A. Maidique Campus. Tickets range from $10 to $15 and can be purchased by calling 305-348-0496 or visiting the online box office by clicking here.
