The Frost and FIU’s Sculpture Park team up for an outdoor exhibit


The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum and FIU’s Sculpture Park will welcome the addition of 11 large-scale sculptures for an unprecedented outdoor exhibition titled American Sculpture in the Tropics for the fall-winter season.

The works originated in the United States and have traveled from their original installation in St. Urban, Switzerland, and Sarasota’s Season of the Arts. Made of a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, cast fiberglass, copper, concrete, wood and rubber tires, each work represents the best of contemporary sculpture through its most recognized artists and the diversity of styles, themes and technical approaches that characterize our times. Artists include John Henry, Albert Paley, Dennis Oppenheim, Chakaia Booker and Verina Baxter.
