Delegation from Tianjin University arrives at FIU


A high-level delegation of educators and administrators from Tianjin University of Commerce (TUC) arrived at FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus Monday, Oct. 8, to participate in a two-week higher education program offered by the College of Business Administration’s Office of Executive and Professional Education in partnership with University College.

The delegation enjoyed a reception at the Frost Art Museum on their first day at FIU. The group will be at FIU for two weeks as part of a leadership training program before returning to China.

While at FIU, TUC leaders will participate in professional development workshops at MMC and BBC, culminating in a graduation ceremony Oct. 22.

The TUC delegation includes:

  • Wang Qingsheng, vice-dean of TUC School of Business
  • Mu Ruijie, director of TUC Sports Health Department
  • Pan Xuhua, vice-dean of TUC School of Information Engineering

The partnership between FIU and TUC is now in its eighth year. In May 2012, the two universities celebrated the graduation of a record number of students from FIU’s Marriott Tianjin China Program.
