The FIU Strategic Language Institute (SLI) has expanded its program offerings to include the Russian language.
Classes begin Oct. 15. Open to students, working professionals and members of the community interested in expanding their linguistic skills and cultural horizons, SLI also offers language classes in Arabic and Chinese.
The language programs are designed for individuals who would like to accelerate their career goals, but have never studied the language or have little training. Class sizes are limited, offering students greater opportunity for interactions with their peers and professors, according to Luis Sanchez, director of the Strategic Language Institute.
The non-credit classes are offered during evening hours at the FIU Downtown on Brickell location. Enrollment for the fall classes is currently open.
For information on class schedules, language offerings or to register, visit sli.fiu.edu.
