The Most Reverend Archbishop Thomas Wenski to speak at FIU

The Archbishop Thomas Wenski will address FIU students and members of the community about spirituality and the Contemporary Roman Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The lecture is part of the Program in the Study of Spirituality’s annual lecture series and is free and open to the public. It will be hosted in the Ruth K. and Shepard Broad Auditorium of the School of International and Public Affairs building on FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed Thomas Wenski the fourth Archbishop of Miami and Metropolitan of the Province of Miami, which includes the seven dioceses of the State of Florida, on April 20, 2010. He is the only Florida native serving as a bishop in the state. Inspired by the Episcopal motto of “Omnia Omnibus”, which means “all things to all men,” the archbishop’s life exemplifies humility in the service of God and his faith.
