Juntos con Nicaragua

“Changing the world, one break at a time,” is the mission of alternative Breaks, FIU’s largest, year-round, service-learning program offered by Student Affairs’ Center for Leadership and Service.

This spring break, five groups traveled to Nicaragua, the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, to work on improving the lives of Nicaraguans by working on issues that ranged from health advocacy to reforestation.

See photos from the trip and watch the four-part video series.
