Last home game to salute first responders Nov. 23

FIU Athletics will be hosting the joint-promotion “FIU Football Thanksgiving Grab and Panther Payday / Salute to First Responders” for the upcoming Conference USA contest against Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium. Kick-off with the Thundering Herd is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.

As the 2013 home finale, 12 Panthers, who will be playing in the final home game of their FIU careers, will be recognized prior to the start of the game. Also being recognized at halftime will be 180 FIU student-athletes who achieved GPAs of 3.0-or-better during the 2012-13 academic year.

Thanksgiving Grab and Panther Payday

For the FIU Football Thanksgiving Grab and Panther Payday, all current FIU students in attendance will be entered in a FREE raffle for a chance to win 20 awesome prizes:

–       Four (4) tuition scholarships

–       Four (4) textbook vouchers

–       Four (4) Panther Dining vouchers

–       Four (4) $50 gift cards to Cadillac Ranch

–       Four (4) technology vouchers (50” Flat Screen TV, iPad, iPod shuffle, iTunes gift card)

All FIU students who do not win one of the above prizes can turn in their raffle ticket for a Panther Payday envelope at the end of the game. ALL envelopes will contain free McDonald’s coupons, or an FIU gift card in increments from $5 to $100.

FIU students in attendance will also receive a free food voucher good for one (1) hot dog, one (1) 16 oz. soft drink, and one (1) bag of chips – redeemable at any concession stand at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium.

In addition, all students may receive up to two (2) guest tickets, free of charge.

Salute to First Responders

Saturday will also serve as FIU’s Salute to First Responders. The FIU Athletic Department will recognize all South Florida first responders for their service and dedication. All first responders with work ID or in uniform will receive free admission to Saturday’s game. Up three guests will also receive free admission.

Single game tickets

Single game tickets are currently on-sale. Fans can purchase great seats along the sideline ($21) or in the endzone ($15).  Group pricing (20 or more) is also available. Tickets can be purchased by calling the FIU Athletics Ticket Office at (305) FIU-GAME (348-4263) or conveniently online at FIUSports.com.
