A new look for our online anniversary

You may notice a change in both our online and print publications this month.magazine winter-2012-crop

We’ve redesigned our website to highlight the stunning photographs and compelling videos that enhance our stories. There is also more space on our homepage to feature and explore stories from each issue, including online exclusives and other timely releases. The magazine logo has been opened up with a clean, modern typographical treatment.

Our art director, Aileen Solá, designed the fresh new look, and FIU’s Web Communications team brought it to life.

mag-new-cropThe changes come as we mark one year since we launched FIU Magazine online with our first digital-only issue. In the issues since, the online edition has become a rich complement to our flagship print publication, produced three times a year, and the daily FIU News site.

We hope you like what you see, hear and read here. And we want to be sure you’re getting the magazine in the format that is easiest for you.

So we’d like you to opt-in to the magazine. Tell us how you want to read it: print, online, both or none. Please take a moment to register your preference at go.fiu.edu/choose.

Cover-125px FIU Magazine Summer 2013Letting us know your subscription preference will allow us to get you the content you want, how you want it. And don’t forget — the annual digital-only issue is coming up, so signing up for the online subscription (with or without print) will ensure you don’t miss out.

We’d love to know what you think of our redesign and anything else on your mind as you peruse our site. Feel free to email me at angevans@fiu.edu.
