FIU Law welcomes new Director of Development

Manaloor

Jacob (Jake) Manaloor has joined FIU College of Law and will serve as Director of Development. Manaloor is a 2003 graduate of the Indiana University (IU) McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Prior to joining FIU Law, he worked for both Indiana University and Purdue University in grant management and administration as well as in the areas of donor/alumni development (including annual giving, class campaigns, major gifts and special donor projects). He earned a bachelor’s in business administration, Human Resource Management and International Studies from the IU Kelley School of Business in 2000.

Manaloor brings significant experience in state, federal, corporate and foundation giving and has solicited, cultivated and managed numerous grants and individual donor gifts. While at the IU McKinney School of Law, he administered a five year $4.2 million USAID grant which allowed the school to take their LLM degree program to Egypt and hopes to lead FIU Law into new frontiers.

“FIU Law is a legal institution on the rise and is committed to academic and professional excellence,” Manaloor says. “It offers significant opportunities for continued growth thanks to its loyal alumni base and the importance current and future graduates play in South Florida’s legal community.

“Through targeted fundraising efforts, I hope to work with students, staff, alumni, and the greater Miami business, legal and non-profit communities to continue to enhance FIU Law and the impact its graduates have on South Florida and throughout the world.”

Manaloor will direct FIU Law’s annual giving campaign, special and major gifts, corporate and foundation grant solicitation – all while working in close partnership with the Alumni Association and FIU’s Advancement Office.
