FIU featured in Univision 23 series on finding the best jobs

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Career Services will host a career fair at Biscayne Bay Campus. More than 80 employers and recruiters are expected to attend. For a full list of employers attending the fair, visit career.fiu.edu.

FIU Director of Career Service Ivette Duarte says STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) jobs will continue to grow in the next four to five years. Duarte is being featured in Univision 23’s job series, “Aquí Están Los Trabajos.”

On Monday’s segment, Duarte told producers the top markets in 2014 are computer science, marketing, finance, and the health industry. All are expected to pay more than $27 an hour. She adds Americans will spend more than 100,000 hours of their lives at work; therefore, she recommends students study what they love.
