Entrepreneur and 2012 grad Tina Zambrana used her FIU marketing degree to pursue her dream of bringing affordable veterinary care to South Florida pet owners. This year, she was named State of Florida Small Business Woman-Owned Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Adminstration.

I also worked full time while qualifying for my goal of a Bachelor degree. Almost 40 years later, I continue to be grateful that FIU was there for me. The ability to attend a first rate university while working to pay living expenses is absolutely necessary in today’s economic environment. Starting a business is even more of a challenge. Congrats, Tina!
