Undergraduate business program No. 6 in ‘U.S. News and World Report’

The College of Business continues to build on its leading role in the development of global business leaders, ranking sixth among the best undergraduate international programs in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 edition of Best Colleges.

It is the highest ranking to date for the program in U.S. News’ well-regarded survey, and the third time in four years that the college has ranked within the Top 10 in international business. In 2015, the program ranked 8th ; in 2013, the program ranked 10th ; and in 2014, it held the 11th spot.

“Our first-rate faculty and high-achieving, international student body help give our business program its well-deserved reputation for excellence,” said Jose M. Aldrich, acting dean of the College of Business. “We are proud to be recognized among the nation’s top programs, and we will constantly strive to improve the education we deliver to our students.”

FIU’s international business program features a multi-disciplinary curriculum in which students take courses in international business, regional studies and functional areas. It integrates seminar-style classes, study abroad opportunities and professional development activities.

“Our faculty members, through their dedicated research and outstanding teaching, have maintained FIU’s position as one of the best international programs for the last 15 years,” said William Newburry, chair of the Department of Management and International Business. “It is clear that graduates of the international business program at FIU will continue to have an impact on the global business community.”

To appear on this survey, programs must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
