FIU wins Homestead support to move Fair

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, members of the Homestead City Council unanimously and enthusiastically passed a resolution supporting an FIU-led economic development initiative that includes a site for the Fair to relocate.

This project would bring FIU’s expertise to South Dade’s agricultural industry while adding to the economic prosperity of South Dade with new educational and job opportunities. The proposal would allow FIU to expand the Modesto A. Maidique Campus onto county-owned land.
