TEDxFIU: Bringing art to children

Just a few years ago, management major Jonathan Wynn-Strachan was an honors high school student and student council member. He was also homeless. Wynn-Strachan confesses he always enjoyed the arts, and he credits music as his source of sanity through the ups and downs of his life.

Fueled by his passion for music and the wisdom of his mother, who he calls “The Philosopher,” he began a non-profit organization: 60 Minutes of Art. The student based community service organization brings art to children in inner city neighborhoods, which have lost funding for art programs or have not had access to art.
